OUR ORIGIN & MISSION
A fairer path to housing and ownership
ACRES began as a Black-led effort to make Canadian housing knowledge, professional support and ownership opportunities easier to access. We are rebuilding the wider model in stages: fair-housing education and community resources; navigation for renters, buyers, sellers and older adults; research and non-partisan advocacy; a network of Black and allied professionals; and practical paths toward sustainable ownership, including co-ownership. The proposed Work Club is one commercial part of that plan. A separately governed nonprofit is proposed for public-benefit programs and future needs-tested homeownership assistance; it has not yet been incorporated or registered as a charity. SirLuckHomes would be a proposed Work Club tenant, not a beneficiary of community funds. Educational content is not a substitute for regulated professional advice.

A developing learning centre focused on practical Canadian housing information. Content will be educational, source-linked and updated as the project grows. ACRES Canada does not provide legal, tax, mortgage, insurance, appraisal or investment advice.

PROPOSED CONCEPT
The Future Professional
Workspace
A proposed GTA work club combining a welcoming public work lounge with bookable meeting rooms, a boardroom and private offices for independent professionals. The concept may include automated coffee and packaged snacks, paid day access, secure Wi-Fi, credit-card reservations and timed smart access. SirLuckHomes Real Estate Brokerage is expected to be an anchor user with first access to brokerage workspace; other independent professionals may be invited to lease or license offices.
STATUS
The ACRES Work Club is a proposed commercial concept. It is not open, has no confirmed public location and is not accepting bookings. The current residential home-office address is not a coworking site or public ACRES office.
Governance &
Legal Status
EXISTING CORPORATION
Afro Canadian Real Estate Inc. is an existing federal for-profit corporation. It is the proposed commercial operator for the ACRES Work Club concept.
The commercial Work Club and the proposed nonprofit are separate concepts. The proposed nonprofit would not be used to subsidize a private brokerage or property purchase. Any future relationship between the entities would be documented at fair value and professionally reviewed.

ACRES Housing Equity & Education Canada is proposed only. It has not been incorporated, is not a registered charity, cannot accept charitable donations and cannot issue charitable tax receipts. It would require an independent board, incorporation, conflict controls and separate finances before operating.
The Work Club remains a proposed commercial initiative. It is not a charitable program, and ACRES is not offering donations or charitable tax receipts.
